Trims, Powertrains, and Fuel Economy
The 2024 Legacy lineup is composed of five trims: Base, Premium, Limited, Sport, and Touring XT. The first three have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 182 hp and 176 lb.-ft. of torque. The the Sport and Touring XT, on the other hand, get a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with an output of 260 hp and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) matches up with both powerplants, feeding power to Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
The Legacy’s fuel efficiency is laudable, with the 2.5-liter versions returning an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The higher-powered turbocharged edition is rated to achieve 23 city/31 highway.
