Powertrain and Efficiency
Look for this exciting all-new model to come in two trims, Sport and Limited. It will be powered by Subaru’s proven 2.5-liter four-cylinder BOXER engine paired with two electric motors and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery. Together, this system will generate 194 horsepower while ensuring excellent fuel economy. Although the EPA has not yet evaluated the Crosstrek Hybrid for estimated fuel economy, Subaru anticipates that it will offer a total range of up to 597 miles per tank and get up to 33 percent better city fuel economy than gas models.
Like the conventional Crosstrek, the Hybrid variant will come with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system for confident traction in all weather conditions. Ground clearance of 8.7 inches and the X-MODE feature with hill descent control will help the Crosstrek Hybrid navigate dirt roads, snow-covered streets, and other light off-road adventures with ease.
