2024 Subaru WRX Trims
Overview
Driving enthusiasts are particular about their vehicles – as they well should be. These are folks who relish the drive as a form of recreation; the transportation aspect is secondary to the enjoyment of operating a performance-focused machine. The Subaru WRX is one of those special vehicles. It came to be in 1992 as a souped-up variant of the Impreza built for the World Rally Championship. In 2015, Subaru made it a distinct model and altered the body style a little more toward performance. The WRX remains a symbol of the brand’s dynamic spirit and continues to stand out with its standard quick-shifting manual transmission and rally-inspired handling.
The TR trim level is back this model year, but it’s no longer the stripped-down variant intended for modification that it was back in the day. This time around, it boasts specialized performance attributes such as Brembo brakes, a retuned suspension with stiffer springs, and Recaro sport seats. Four of the five trims have a standard short-throw manual, and for the first time ever the EyeSight driver-assist technology suite is standard on the stick-shift WRX.
