2026 Subaru Uncharted

Subaru’s intentions are clear with this year’s expansion of its EV lineup, which includes the adventure-primed Uncharted along with the Trailseeker and Getaway. It makes sense that an outdoorsy customer base like Subaru’s would be interested in these more eco-friendly models that are debuting for 2026. The Uncharted stands out for its quickness: it can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. It’s the only Subaru model besides the BRZ that doesn’t get standard all-wheel drive, although it’s included on the two higher trims; the trade-off for the base Premium is brand-best range of 308 miles on a full charge, a mark that also outdoes competing EVs such as the Kia Niro EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric.

The Uncharted is ready for off-pavement driving with segment-best ground clearance of 8.1 inches, plus short front and rear overhangs for better maneuverability in the dust. The Sport and GT enjoy Symmetrical AWD and dual-function X-MODE with Grip Control, with driver-selectable settings for snow, dirt, deep snow, and mud. It’s also ready for cold New England weather with standard heated front seats and a battery preconditioning system that lets it charge quickly even in sub-zero temperatures; the two higher trims receive a heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats.
