2024 Subaru WRX TR in MA

Overview
Evolution remains a cornerstone of every industry, and in the dynamic realm of automotive innovation, progress is essential. One fine example is the upcoming release of the Subaru WRX TR. Ever since its debut in 1992, the WRX has been a favorite of performance enthusiasts, but the TR designation (which stands for Tuner Ready) hasn’t been attached to this rally-inspired model since 2007. Departing from its history as a no-frills variant for customization, the upcoming WRX TR takes a more evolutionary approach by amplifying the WRX with a host of updates designed to augment both performance and luxury. While the anticipation surrounding the WRX TR’s arrival is substantial, the wait for its release will be brief: it’s slated to land at dealerships in the first quarter of 2024.

Heightened Performance
The once bare-bones WRX TR returns for model year 2024 boasting an array of enticing upgrades. Taking over as the model’s braking system is a performance-quality Brembo setup that features six-piston front calipers, two-piston rear calipers, larger pads and rotors, and a more robust brake master cylinder. As a result, the ’24 WRX TR will guarantee superior stopping power, fade resistance, and pedal feel. To help shed some unnecessary weight and optimize center of gravity, the WRX TR will be made without a moonroof.
Complementing stiffer springs and retuned damping rates, the TR will introduce a new suspension system and a recalibrated steering rack for better body control and steering response. It will also get standard 19-inch satin-gray wheels paired with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, delivering enhanced wet and dry grip and superior braking performance. Beneath the hood, a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine will propel the WRX TR with 271 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.
Striking Design
A considerable span of time has passed since the WRX TR was available, leading the newest iteration to adopt the current-gen model’s aggressive wide-body design, signature hexagonal grille, and broad front hood scoop. Prominent character lines also serve to accentuate its sporty character, while the color-matched side mirrors, shark-fin antenna, and low-profile rear decklid spoiler provide a sleek and streamlined aesthetic. At the rear, specially designed taillights emitting a fiery glow reminiscent of volcanic magma will be implemented for a dramatic finish. Inside, the WRX TR will get red-stitched Recaro sport seats upholstered in black and gray Ultrasuede that have been sculpted for optimal driving posture.
Multimedia and Advanced Driving Aids
A far cry from the original WRX TR, the 2024 version will embrace cutting-edge technology with the latest version of Subaru Starlink. This sophisticated infotainment system consists of an 11.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, HD Radio, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Plus, for the first time ever, Subaru’s renowned EyeSight Driver Assist Technology suite will be standard in a manual-transmission WRX. This suite will include adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure and sway warning, and lead vehicle start alert.
