For the past 10 years, Subaru of America and its retailers have partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets and messages of hope to cancer patients across the country. On June 16th, the Balise Subaru of Hadley team personally delivered these items to patients. These blankets and messages of hope provide warmth and comfort to cancer patients during treatment. The love and support shared through this cherished partnership means a lot to everyone involved! Thank you for supporting the LLS mission to create a world without blood cancer and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Steve Lewis Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Hadley, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Steve Lewis Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Steve Lewis Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/14/2025, Steve Lewis Subaru donated 120 shoes/socks to It Takes a Village - Huntington, MA. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Driving Inclusion Forward: Subaru’s Impact at Whole Children - Amy D
A big, heartfelt thank-you to our friends at Balise Subaru of Hadley. Through the Share the Love campaign, they’ve once again come through with support that does so much more than fund our work—it helps power a movement. At Whole Children and Milestones, we offer weekly afterschool recreation and social opportunities for hundreds of children, teens, and adults with intellectual disabilities and those with autism. From kung fu to cooking, recess games to dance, these classes aren’t just fun—they build real-world skills, create friendships, and open doors to meaningful inclusion in the community. For families, they’re a place to connect, recharge, and know they’re not alone. And then there’s the stage. The Joyful Chorus, our theater troupe, and the Friendship Band give students the chance to perform, to express themselves, and to be loudly and proudly celebrated. Keeping all of this accessible takes support. We keep the cost of our classes low so that no child is left out. That’s why we’re so grateful to Balise Subaru of Hadley and every customer who chose to Share the Love with us. You’re helping make joy, connection, and community possible—every single day.

As a long time Subaru customer, I've always appreciated the brand's various charitable initiatives such as the most recent Subaru Loves The Earth campaign. I love mountain biking and hiking so I especially appreciate this year's partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. As a home owner I appreciate my free tree, but as an avid outdoor enthusiast I like knowing that the company that made my car cares about the planet. Thank you to Subaru and especially Steve Lewis Subaru for a wonderful event. I look forward to watching my tree grow for years to come!
Berkshire Highlands Pentathlon - John F
The Berkshire Highlands Pentathlon is a five-event race held in the hills of Western Mass every spring and the love promise core pillar that best speaks to our event is certainly Community. Young, old, super athletes, and families alike come out and brave the weather to enjoy the various outdoor pursuits our area offers, and celebrate the arrival of spring, though it rarely feels like spring on the day of the event. The event benefits the food pantry in the town where it takes place. With the bagpiper playing, the runners begin to toe the start line and the anticipation builds – runners who this year ranged from 10 to 77 years old. When the starting gun launches the competitors into action, the Steve Lewis Subaru car leads them into the course, and a great day. Steve Lewis’ financial support helps us maximize support for feeding the needy in the area. Steve Lewis Subaru has been a wonderful partner for our event, and for that we are grateful. The pictured family have been participating in the pentathlon since it started 15 years ago. The woman on the left competed in the race into her 90’s and purchased a Forester from Steve Lewis Subaru at 89 years of age because of their support for the pentathlon.

Community Generosity in Action: Steve Lewis Subaru Answers the Call - Kenzie K
When two local families within our It Takes a Village community welcomed twins, they faced the challenge of finding reliable double strollers to help them navigate daily life. We put out a call for support, and Steve Lewis Subaru responded—as they always do. Joe, Jason and the team went above and beyond, generously donating two brand-new strollers to ensure these families have what they need to get out and about with their little ones. To top it off, Jason generously delivered the strollers to our Village Closet Family Resource Center. Their kindness is a perfect example of how local businesses can make a real difference in the lives of families. Thank you, Steve Lewis Subaru, for showing what it means to care for your community!
It Takes a Village to Keep Our Children Warm - Kenzie K
For too many children in our community, dropping temperatures mean facing the cold without the proper winter gear. That’s why we’re beyond grateful to Steve Lewis Subaru and their Share the Love program for stepping up in such a big way. Thanks to their generosity, over 100 children left the Share the Love Event at The Village Closet bundled up in brand-new winter coats! For many families, finding affordable winter clothing is a real challenge. This donation provided not just warmth, but also peace of mind for parents working hard to keep their kids safe and healthy. And for the children who received these coats, it meant more than just staying warm—it meant stepping into the colder months with comfort, confidence, and a sense of belonging. When kids feel good in what they’re wearing, they can focus on what really matters—playing, learning, and thriving. Thank you Steve Lewis Subaru for being a part of our Village!

Over the past 13 years, Make-A-Wish has been both honored and grateful to partner with our Subaru of New England Retailers as one of the four national charity partners of the Share the Love campaign. We are thrilled to share that following this year’s results, the combined support of our local Massachusetts and Rhode Island retailers has just surpassed $1.5 Million for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island! It is proven that wishes can have a positive impact on the medical outcomes of children facing critical illnesses. A wish experience can improve a child’s quality of life and emotional well-being, while also strengthening families. A wish enables a child to imagine a future that is bright and provides motivation and hope when they need it most. The transformative impact of a wish cannot be overstated, and we depend on the generosity of partners like you to move closer to our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Your support benefits not only a local child and family, but their community as well, reminding every one of us that we are capable of uplifting one another.
